Faculty Position in Industrial Engineering
The Department of Industrial Engineering at Dalhousie University invites applications for a probationary tenure-track position, at the Assistant Professor level, from candidates with outstanding research and teaching abilities in industrial engineering.
The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate in industrial engineering, or a closely related field, with proven teaching capability and demonstrated ability to interact with industry. Eligibility for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers of Nova Scotia is essential. Duties will include teaching, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, in some or all of the areas of operations research, inventory control and production planning, design of work methods and systems, engineering economics, ergonomics, human factors engineering, project management, maintenance, quality control and manufacturing. The selected candidate is expected to develop an externally-funded research program.
